We are pleased to welcome Mea Hilton as our rising First Grade Class Teacher. Ms. Hilton comes to us with 12 years of teaching experience, including two years at Oxbow Schoolhouse, a developing Waldorf School serving families in the greater Worcester area.

Ms. Hilton holds a Master’s of Education, Consultant Teacher of Reading from Lesley University and received her Waldorf teacher training at Antioch University. Prior to attending Antioch University, she taught first through fifth grade in Newton, Belmont and Swansea public schools.

Ms. Hilton has also served as a US Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras, where she led workshops for teachers throughout the country. In addition to facilitating these workshops, which focused on incorporating a multi-sensory approach (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile), she also offered parent-child classes, with a focus on nutrition.

WSL has a special place in Ms. Hilton’s heart, as it is where she participated many years ago in Foundation Studies, completed her practical teaching experience and watched her two older children graduate with the classes of 2016 and 2017.

Ms. Hilton is looking forward to taking the Class of 2029 through the Waldorf curriculum. An evening for rising first grade parents to meet Ms. Hilton will be planned in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please join us in offering her congratulations!
