Nurturing Growth. Funding the Future.

Join us in strengthening our Waldorf roots by making a gift to our Annual Fund.

Like all independent schools, our financial stability relies on philanthropic support. Our annual budget is carefully constructed to remain conservative, and we rely on the generosity of our community to help fund the additional elements we could not afford without generous donations to our Annual Fund.

Every child, every teacher, every program benefits from the enhancements made possible by the Annual Fund. This year our biggest enhancements are directed toward the support of faculty via investments in well-thought out professional development initiatives and the reinstatement of retirement benefits.

Our goal for this year’s Annual Fund is to raise $200,000 by June 30 and we need everyone’s support to reach this goal. Whether you can contribute substantially or modestly, every gift is important and is received with gratitude. Your support will help us continue nurturing the next generation of observant learners, confident dreamers, and resilient individuals who will shape our future.

We are all deeply Rooted in Waldorf!

At the Waldorf School of Lexington, we foster an environment where students develop the foundation to embrace life’s opportunities with a sense of wonder, confidence, and resilience. This encompasses nurturing their innate ability to be observant learners, empowering them with the competencies to pursue their aspirations and the tenacity to adapt and engage with an ever-changing world.

These foundations take root in our youngest classes, where life’s pace deliberately slows down, allowing children’s sense of self to develop as they spend their days immersed in nature, play and social interaction—building a community with their peers. Their roots continue to develop and broaden through the grades as students’ heads, hearts and hands are engaged in exploring a diverse array of disciplines including woodworking, orchestra, world languages, visual arts and core academic subjects. This broad foundation sparks a child’s curiosity and nurtures their resourcefulness and passion for learning as they grow into their authentic selves.

A Waldorf education is not confined to our students alone. Together our community of parents, caregivers, grandparents, trustees, faculty, staff and friends learn and grow through community festivals, class performances, artistic endeavors, and adult education programs. In this shared experience, we all become deeply Rooted in Waldorf!
